Case Study: The Financial Times

Moving beyond discomfort and facilitating difficult conversations.

I really loved the learning environment you created.” – Global Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Taking Team Building to the Next Level

The FT are pioneering in DEI and wanted to step-change how they demonstrate support for underrepresented communities through encouraging active allyship.

But embodying it is complex, uncomfortable and involves human connection so they wanted cutting edge facilitation that went beyond standard classroom-based techniques.

We Went Deeper

We designed a lively and thought-provoking experiential session full of activities to develop core skills for allyship.

Through collaborative art-making, thoughtful prompts and storytelling, leaders learnt the benefits of moving past discomfort to open up new conversations that they typically struggled to have at work.

This developed their capacity for imperfection and perspective-taking – core skills for allyship.

Participants experienced this powerful trust-building process and understood the necessity of showing vulnerability and courage to make shifts in progress.

Partnering with Experts

We partnered with Chartered Psychologist and Inclusive Leadership expert, Nadia Nagamootoo, creating a transformative experience like no other.

The arts created a light and joyous atmosphere for a topic that can sometimes feel heavy, leaving the FT team feeling energised and inspired to take action!
